From 13 to 17 October 2025 , municipalities in the The Hague region, together with the RIEC (Regional Information and Communication Centre for Human Trafficking), the Hague Police Unit, SHOP, HEIT, and RSIV (Institute for the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons), will organize the Regional Week Against Human Trafficking . This week coincides with the European Day Against Human Trafficking (October 18) and this year focuses specifically on raising awareness among (international) students. By sharing stories, highlighting reporting routes, and teaching students to recognize the signs, we open up the topic for discussion and break the taboo.
The SHOP Youth website provides more information about Human Trafficking Week, including signs to watch out for and where to report your suspicions.
