On 18 October, the European Anti-Trafficking Day, FIZ is organizing a solidarity party to celebrate forty years of counseling, forty years of protection, forty years of solidarity, advocacy, activism, hope, and forty years of commitment to human rights and empowerment.
FIZ was founded in Zurich 40 years ago, inspired by a media report that exposed the exploitative working conditions of a migrant woman in a night club in Switzerland. In 2025, FIZ marks four decades of support to victims of human trafficking and migrant women affected by violence and exploitation. During this time, FIZ has not only supported and accompanied victims, but also actively fought for their rights, raised public awareness, and achieved improvements in politics and society. FIZ’s journey has been marked by countless stories, many challenges, and important successes.
