CoMensha has published its 2024 Annual Report, providing an overview of the main developments and data on human trafficking in the Netherlands.
Human trafficking remains a hidden crime, and recognising it requires active vigilance and awareness. The findings presented by CoMensha are based on cases and trends actually observed in the Netherlands, reflecting the real extent and nature of exploitation identified.
In addition to data and analysis, the report highlights CoMensha’s monitoring and advisory work, its coordination of shelter for trafficked persons, and its efforts to raise awareness among professionals and the public about recognising signs of human trafficking.
Human Trafficking Symposium
Last year, CoMensha’s Human Trafficking Symposium took place and proved to be extremely valuable: the event fostered extensive knowledge exchange, inspiration, and new connections. That’s why CoMensha is organizing a new edition of the Human Trafficking Symposium again this year – once more providing space for meeting, in-depth discussion, and sharing experiences in tackling human trafficking.
CoMensha invites you to the Human Trafficking Symposium on Monday, 24 November 2025. This invitation is on behalf of the Ministry of Justice and Security, CoMensha, the Dutch National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children, and the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG).
Why this symposium?
Many different parties are involved in tackling human trafficking – from professionals in healthcare and law enforcement to municipal agencies and inspectorates. The aim of the Human Trafficking Symposium is to bring all these stakeholders together and engage in deeper discussions on this complex issue. The program will include several breakout sessions, and there will also be ample opportunity to network. More information about the program will follow soon.
Event details: Monday, 24 November 2025, from 09:00 – 17:00, at Spant, Bussum.
