Ban Ying e.V. is one of the oldest women’s projects in Berlin working to combat human trafficking.
The organisation supports migrant women who have experienced violence, exploitation or trafficking in two ways. Ban Ying works towards the equal participation of migrant women in society through public relations work, conducting training for public sector employees, scientific analysis and advocacy work. The social workers provide advice and counselling for migrant women in order to support them in achieving their objectives and asserting their rights. In addition to the coordination and counselling center, the organisation also runs a shelter in which women who have been affected by human trafficking can seek refuge.
